The name of this wine, STUDIO by Miraval, was not chosen by chance. In 1977, jazz musician Jacques Loussier, the owner of the estate at the time, had a recording studio built there, and hosted international artists of the caliber of Pink Floyd, The Cure, Muse, AC/DC, Wham, Sting, The Cranberries, Rammstein, Chris Rea, and French artists such as Indochine, Telephone, and Bashung. Turning their back on the famous studios of London and elsewhere, they came for the quality of the sound but also for the inspiration procured by this place that the current owners firmly intend to preserve.

This beautiful salmon pink coloured Rose is a unique bend of Sangiovese, Merlot, Zinfandel, Petit Verdot & Cabernet Sauvignon, all from the Mudgee wine region. It has flavours of Ruby Grapefruit, Pink Peppercorn and Strawberry Leaf with a palate that is textural and delicate.

Shiraz from Orange is quite unique in style compared to most other regions in Australia and is more reminiscent of the Northern Rhone, France. The Idiot Shiraz is a young wine that has a lovely colour deep red with some purple hues. The aroma is spicy, lifted and intense. There is an appealing liquorice character to the intense fruit aromas. Bright full fruit flavours in a medium-bodied package; classic cool area shiraz some spice integrated with red fruits; lovely soft tannins and finish.

The Conductor has lifted aromas of ripe red plums and cherries with underlying earthy savouriness and vanilla. The palate is smooth with gentle fruit tannins and poised acidity. A medium bodied wine with elegant structure and purity of fruit.

Printhie Mountain Range Shiraz is a fragrant and spicy wine displaying a bright violet red colour. Complex aromas and flavours of blackberries, chocolate and cedary oak are abundant in the wine. Fusing with the earthy nuances and mid-palate richness are long and fine tannins, ultimately ending the drink in a lengthy finish. Appropriate for drinking young, this red wine matches well with dark chocolate, barbecue flavours and red meat dishes like grilled lamb chops.
