A high quality wine from the first whiff of the bouquet through to the long finish...has a tapestry of flavours from the base of Cabernet...all supported by persistent but ripe tannins, the oak absorbed by the fruit. The ripe fruits are very concentrated on the palate with distinctive fine tannins, hints of sweet spice and a lingering finish. A fantastic vintage to enjoy now or careful cellaring for another 6 - 8 years.

This Grand Tawny from South Australias Langhorne Creek is a bold blend of Grenache and shiraz grape varieties. Aged 10 years, its rich, warm palate makes it the perfect accompaniment to chocolate and caramel cakes.

The Iron Duke is a premium Langhorne Creek Cabernet from Bleasdale the regions oldest winery, founded in 1850. The wine, made in limited quantites, is a blend of the best parcels of Cabernet fruit from the vintage. Rich, medium bodied and showing sublime regional and varietal typicity, The Iron Duke is racked before bottle without filtration. Named not after Arthur Wellesley, the Duke of Wellington, but after founder Frank Potts own rifle. The wine honours Franks readiness is organising Langhorne Creek locals to defend against a potential Imperial Russian Invasion a real fear at the time.

Deep crimson in colour. Spicy aromas of Satsuma plums, blueberries, crushed mulberries, blackberries and blackcurrants are complemented beautifully by savoury notes of cardamom, bay leaf and licorice. Rich, succulent plum and blue and black berry fruits fill the palate and entwine with black pepper, bay leaf and anise, while plush layers of soft, supple tannins and a savoury line of flavour provide for a firm and well structured mid-palate, and long, fine finish.

Medium bodied with the plush dark berry fruit framed by fine grained tannins to give a long and persistent finish.

Birthday Wine Cylinder “Hip Hip Hooray It’s Your Birthday”. The Bleasdale Generations Shiraz 2018 offers aromas of blackberry and liquorice on the nose. The palate features flavours of ripe plums and other dark berries, layered with liquorice, pepper and fresh spices. This is an elegant style of shiraz with many layers of complexity.

Birchwood Wine Cylinder This is an elegant Cabernet Sauvignon with intense aromas of mixed berries, woody herbs dark chocolate and violets. The palate is smooth and persistent, with blackcurrant and spicy oak flavours, before finishing with soft and subtle tannins.
