The Avenue to Gold 2018 displays vibrant crimson colour. Aromas of Fresh blackberry andAsian species which evolve to pipe tobacco, dried sage and rosemary. The wine enters the palate with power and presence carrying liquored blackberry and coal dust flavour at first impression. It turns savoury slowly delivering black peppercorns and umami notes which provide a lovely mouth watering finish. This wine has a very complex finish which touches on both fruit and savoury details. Grown in our northern most Coonawarra vineyard. Block 5 Aged is only made in vintages that suit its style, it is bottled soon after harvest and cellared for a minimum of 5 years prior to release. This wine showcases Rieslings natural journey from a fresh, fruity wine in its youth to a complex, textural and toasty Riesling in its age. Cellar for as many years as you can resist, it will only get better. Tasting Note: This Riesling shows intense aromas of citrus, lanolin & a distinctive toasty character. The palate is delicately layered showing lime blossom & a wonderful mouth feel that extends to a crisp finish. Winemaker’s Note: Fresh & fruity in it’s youth, now displaying the unique characteristics & distinguished flavours that a well made Riesling can. This Riesling has been cellared for 7 years before release and will live for another 20 plus. Vintage Note: We had good winter rainfall followed by a warmer than average Spring. This brought forward flowering by two weeks and lead to moderate bunch numbers with small berries. A cool Summer then allowed the vines to catch up and a slow, even ripening period followed. Overall a strong vintage with excellent cellaring potential.

The nose has complex aromas of sarsaparilla, mulberries, tea leaf and fresh vanilla bean. There's a real smoky/gamey note to the fruits as well. The palate shows great tannin focus through the middle, flavours of red fruits and earth, with lovely intensity an a violet/lavender floral lift. Sitting at an altitude of 450m, Hampton Vineyard produces Shiraz with a surprising combination of finesse and power. Planted in 1982 this vineyard thrives on a silty, sandy-loam soil over red ironstone clay. The fruit was handled traditionally and matured for 10 months in seasoned French oak. Fruit was harvested in the cool of the morning and delivered to the winery where it was destemmed into an open top fermenter. After thirteen days on skins the wine was basket pressed before overnight settling and racking to seasoned French oak. Ten months maturation in oak before blending and bottling. Partners in crime and explorers at heart, Andrew and Skye Quin are the team behind Quin wines. Having travelled the world together, they finally settled in the Barossa, with a trailer of second-hand furniture and heads full of dreams. Andrew has spent the last 10 years as Chief Winemaker for Hentley Farm, during which time he has collected a swathe of awards and accolades. But 2018 saw the launch of his own brand: Quin Wines. His philosophy is simple - respect tradition, but continue to push boundaries. And that bigger is not always better!

The concept of blending Shiraz and Viognier was derived from the great French wine region of the Northern Rhône the Côte Rôtie area in particular. Using only the best Eden Valley fruit, this wine by Yalumba is rich in concentrated fruit flavour. Traditionally, the two different grape varieties for this wine have predominately been crushed and fermented together.

The Wittmanns and their ancestors have been wine-growers in southern Rheinhessen since 1663. Since 1990, the family has cultivated the vineyards according to controlled ecological guidelines, and since 2004, bio-dynamically. This Riesling has a fine aroma of yellow fruits and apple, clear, elegant structure and juicy freshness. Dry with a juicy acidity which harmonises with the typical earthy mineral tones; great finish.

Classical perfumed Spatlese with generous apricot, honey, violet, superb concentration, fruit sweetness and lemony acidity. Sealed with glass stopper for guaranteed freshness.

Winemaking: Gentle pressings were combined with free run juice and cold settled. Fermentation commenced in stainless steel but some of the Marsanne and Viognier finished fermentation in and was aged in barrel until bottled in early August. The remaining Marsanne and the Roussanne were aged on lees in a tank until bottling, to enhance the structure and texture of the wine. Colour: Attractive pale straw. Nose: Aromas of stone fruits, honeysuckle and Asian spice. Palate: Medium bodied with good texture, mouthfeel and balanced mineral acidity. Flavours of nectarine, pear, mandarine and Asian spice give to make it for good food pairing, possibilities from seafood to white meat.

A gem-like and shimmeringly scented aroma of glittering, glimmering, glistening purity, poise and incandescence; lime blossom and honey suckle flower intensity is as pure as it is invigorating.
