Arras Grand Vintage

House of Arras Grand Vintage is at the pinnacle of Australian sparkling wine! The fruit is sourced from the cool climate region of Tasmania where Ed Carr (Gourmet Wine Traveller Winemaker of the Year 2011) and his team produce an outstanding wine of incredible complexity and character resulting from extended maturation on yeast lees.

Made from the noble grape varieties of prestige sparkling wine, sourced from exceptional cold climate Tasmanian vineyards, this wine exhibits all the elegance, power and vibrancy that are the hallmarks of world class premium sparkling wine. After ten years on lees, it is the patience to allow the wine to mature at its own pace and the experience to know when it is at its best that has allowed this wine to achieve rich new heights in complexity and intensity. Arras Brut Elite Sparkling Non-Vintage

House of Arras sounds French and it would be easy to mistake this Brut Elite for a NV Champagne. Arras winemaker Ed Carr has spent the last 15 years on a quest to produce a world class sparkling. With this wine, we considered it mission accomplished! Vanilla, nougat and exotic spices on the nose, followed by a palate bursting with lychee, truffle and cinnamon flavours, this is a complex, elegant wine. Australian sparkling has come a long way in the past decade, but this is a wine that really excites us.
