Four Pillars Gin worked with the QANTAS Rockpool mixology team to create the second release in their Bartender Series - an Asian-inspired Modern Australian gin with softness and spice, one that is truly a spirit of Australia. Red and green Szechuan give it a lovely warm mouthfeel, while the macadamia nuts give it softness and an almost creamy palate. The fresh Rose Glow apples, fresh tangelos, fresh grapefruit peel and dry native quandong add fruit and lift. Rockpools bartenders were aiming for a gin with nice spicy complexity and mixability something to create a great G&T, or classic dry martini. Four Pillars fourth RTD sees the world’s most awarded Navy Strength Gin combine with fresh ginger and lime juice to create an extra-strength, flavour-packed gin and ginger can that sits at 6.5% alcohol. The gin brings notes of finger lime and turmeric coupled with the classic spice of ginger, while the addition of fresh ginger and lime juice adds an extra hit of brightness, spice and a little bit of sweetness.

Four Pillars Spiced Negroni gin cuts through the Campari and vermouth in your Negroni. It uses the base Four Pillars botanicals along with extra Tasmanian pepper berry leaf and cinnamon. There is also some West African spice called Grains of Paradise, with clove and Sichuan characters. Cameron uses organic blood oranges in the botanical basket, as well as ginger.

Yarra Valley makes some of the finest wines in the world. In 2015, Four Pillars combined Rare Dry Gin with some of the best Shiraz Grapes in Australia to create Bloody Shiraz Gin for the first time. 2018 release has great depth of colour compared to previous releases. Flavour-wise it's showing dark fruit, red berry and spice. There is also plenty of that classic Yarra Shiraz white pepper. And of course a lovely ginny character carries those grape aromas, making it unmistakably gin. The palate is lovely and sweet, with long juniper and spice characters to finish.

Four Pillars Navy Strength is a gin very much in the style of the Rare Dry Gin but with the volume turned up slightly beyond 11. At 58.8% ABV the gin can support some more robust and interesting botanicals, so there are three new botanicals that are both new (and fresh), including fresh turmeric and ginger. Together they have heightened the spiciness of the gin, and the turmeric in particular has added weight and a lovely earthiness to the palate. Also in the botanical basket about half the normal oranges have been replaced with some explosive native finger limes, grown in Byron Bay. They have an intensity of flavour and acid that is almost impossible to believe, and in the basket they help the gin attain super citrus notes and lovely high-toned freshness.

Cult-favourite Bloody Shiraz Gin has found its newest home in a can. To maintain full flavour while keeping the serve to one standard drink, Four Pillars distilled a special super botanical gin to use as the base. A bespoke tonic was also crafted from scratch to complement the natural sweetness and spice, plus added lemon so it tastes like youve garnished your G&T with a slice of fresh lemon.
