Mt Beras Amphitheatre vineyard is planted on 2 slopes of a massive natural amphitheatre between our other vineyards. One bird can create music to be heard everywhere. Hopefully the grapes collect the music, and you find yourself singing along with our native bird population. Mulberries, coriander, orange peel and nutmeg on the nose, as well as some licorice. Deep brick-red with tawny tints at the rim; the bouquet is all about licorice Or aniseed, blackberry conserve, dark chocolate, plum-pips and smoky Or toasty Or charred elements. Some vanilla Or coconut oak influences and mellow tertiary notes from aged development. There's licks of mint and tonic water in the mix, a touch of lemongrass and light radish savoury-spiciness, too.
