The limited edition release of Special Shiraz celebrates the varietal at the heart of Penfolds, honouring the grape that has shaped its identity and defined Australian fine wine. Its lineage sets it apart, with a small inclusion of matured Grange drawn from barrel. Silky and sleek, it reveals pecan pie, hazelnut and berry coulis, lifted by goji berry brightness, with fine, chalky tannins and a polished, persistent finish.

Attractive honeydew melon, white peach and lemon/lime aromas make this Penfolds Koonunga Hill Chardonnay, a fresh easy drinking one with plenty of complexities on the finish.

Inspired by the iconic jet that took it to the world. The rich and powerful Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon, our first commercial release of a single cabernet-based wine, is linked to Max Schubert’s dream of making a great Australian red wine that could last at least 20 years. During the ‘50s and early ‘60s cabernet sauvignon was mostly used for blending, but Schubert’s breakthrough with the varietal as a stand-alone wine came in 1964 with inaugural vintage. Early Bin 707s were typically open fermented under wax-lined header boards and matured in seasoned old oak (rather than new oak). The wine was not made from 1970 to 1975 (when fruit was directed to other wines) nor in 1981, 1995, 2000, 2003, 2011 or 2017 (when fruit of the required style and quality was not available). Palate; Powerful - propelled by a wave of fruits - fresh mulberry, fig, Goji berry, raspberry, fresh blackcurrant. And licorice. Ripe and firm, glossy tannins frame many layers, including those that appear to stand above. A textural creaminess, sumptuousness - possibly by way of oak? Balanced, complete, latent. St Henri is a time-honoured and alternative expression of shiraz, and an intriguing counterpoint to Grange. Released for the first time by Penfolds in the early 1950s (first commercial vintage 1957), it gained a new lease of life in the 1990s as its quality and distinctive style became better understood. Proudly, a wine style that hasn't succumbed to the dictates of fashion or commerce. St Henri is rich and plush when young, gaining soft, earthy, mocha-like characters as it ages. It is matured in old, 1,460 litre vats that allow the wine to develop, imparting minimal, if any oak character.

Widely regarded as one of Australia's benchmark fortified wines, the Penfolds Grandfather Rare Tawny rightfully lays claim to such a title. High quality blending stock has been lovingly matured in small oak casks, and creates a wine of immense complexity and depth.

Penfolds' Block 42 vineyard is one of the most historic Cabernet vineyards in the world. Planted only 30 years after the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, Block 42 has the oldest plantings in the world that have continuously produced Cabernet Sauvignon. This unique history is harnessed by Peter Gago in the 2004 Block 42 Kalimna Cabernet that has produced a beautifully aromatic, perfectly balanced and ripe Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit simply explodes across the palate, giving tremendous depth and length of flavour. While young, plush and full-bodied today, the Block 42 has many years of ageing ahead of it and will be comfortable in your cellar well into the 2020s.

After resting in the Cellar, the Penfolds Bin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon is drinking beautifully, offering all the hallmarks of a great Australian Cabernet with remarkable depth and sophistication. This is a full-bodied, elegantly structured wine where dark, ripe blackcurrant and black cherry flavours are now seamlessly interwoven with notes of mocha, chocolate, and oak spice. Hints of dried herbs and menthol lift the aromatic profile, while the fine, rounded tannins deliver approachable richness and varietal clarity. Reliable, dependable, and constant, this wine is a graceful, layered expression of classic Cabernet.

Penfolds Father Grand Tawny pays tribute to 169 years of winemaking excellence. A blend of many outstanding tawny components separately matured in seasoned old oak casks, with a minimum blended average age of ten years. The results yields a wine of generous concentration, vitality, exceptional balance of fruit and oak age complexity. The tawny lingers in the mouth, finishing clean and tight.
