Named after Coonawarra pioneer, pastoralist and parliamentarian, John Riddoch, this Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from the very best of Wynns vast planting in Coonawarra and it only made in the years that best express Wynns strive for excellence. Arguably richer and more complex from comparable styles in the region, John Riddoch Cabernet is highly sought after and extremely limited.

Wynns Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon is the beacon of quality that all Australian Cabernet Sauvignon is compared to. Coming off the iconic red soils of Coonawarra, Wynns Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon is classic elegance. Chief winemaker, Sue Hodder, is able to craft a wine brimming with aromas of blackcurrant and plum that combine with spicy minty notes. The palate is well structured, long and fine. First produced in 1954, Wynns Coonawarra Estate Shiraz, grown on amazing terra rossa soil, has been a staple, gracing many a table since then. Careful maintenance of the iconic vineyard and immaculate attention to detail sees the wine easily retain its outstanding reputation year after year. For a wine of its price it has the reputation of being very cellarable, as many of us have discovered over the years.

Typical of Wynns Coonawarra Estate, this Shiraz has aromas of ground black pepper, berry and distinctive floral notes. A medium bodied wine with a lingering finish that will age gracefully. Wynns Coonawarra Estate is internationally celebrated for producing wines of consistent quality and depth of flavor and Coonawarra is considered one of Australia's best wine regions due to its regionally specific terra Rossa soil and gentle climate.
