It was 12 years ago that Ian MacMillan (Deanston Chief Whisky Maker) fully appreciated that there was a star in the making. Premium quality 8 Years Old Blend - the recognised age of maturity for many malt whiskies. 8 years old defines the age of the youngest whisky in the blend, the majority of the malts in Isle of Skye are much older. Origins in that most widely celebrated of Scottish Islands: Skye, home of the Clan Macleod. An exceptionally smooth and mellow Blended Scotch whisky containing a high proportion of carefully selected Island and Speyside Malts. Therefore, they have been importing whisky from Scotland, where their master blender thoroughly studied about whisky production before the distillery’s foundation. The master blender selected whisky carefully, visiting various distilleries in Scotland. He blended and matured the whisky at Nagahama Distillery.

Glasgow 1770 Single Malt Scotch Whisky, The Original, is the whisky that started it all. The distillery is located in the glen of the Kinchie Burn where it derives its name. Glenkinchie is a sweeter style of scotch that is supported by a delightful creamy texture on the palate.

MATURATION: Matured in organic, virgin oak casks. Pour yourself a dram of this beautiful Speysider, lift it to the light and notice the golden brown colour, imparted by our virgin oak casks. Even the wood we use for maturing the spirit is an intrinsic part of producing this beautifully balanced Organic Single Malt Whisky—a world-first when it was launched. It's delightfully sweet and malty at first, and after a few inhalations you may detect vanilla, toffee and banana influences coming through. Lagavulin, pronounced 'Lagga-voolin' (meaning 'the hollow where the mill is') is distinctive and powerful.
