MARQUES DE MURRIETA DALMAU

Sourced from a 9 hectare single vineyard planted in 1950 called Canajas, located at 465m above sea level. Stylistically, Dalmau is the most modern of the red wines from Marques de Murrieta and is named after owner Vincente Dalmau Cebrián-Sagarriga. The 2019 vintage has received 97 points from James Suckling, Tim Atkin, and 98 points from Wine Enthusiast Magazine. 86% Tempranillo, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Graciano, with 20 months in French oak and 6 months in concrete vats prior to bottling. Intensely scented nose with hints of blueberries, red plum, thyme, cedar and black pepper. Splendid palate, wide and well-defined with a long juicy finish. A seductive blend of strength and finesse. “The clearest expression of Canajas single-vineyard nature; a Dalmau with strong character, more concentrated and expressive compared to its predecessors.” - María Vargas, Technical Director.

Zonte's Footstep Madrugador Fleurieu Tempranillo

Treat yourself to a multi-Gold, 97pt very appealing Tempranillo from the dynamic Zonte's Footstep team. Madrugador means 'early riser' in Spanish, a reference to the early ripening Tempranillo variety. It makes a delicious partner served with lamb cutlets! “This is fruit forward and inviting with dark plum, blueberry, rich floral and warm spice aromas on the nose, leading to a generously weighted palate offering succulent fruit intensity backed by fine, grainy tannins. Sturdy and bold with a persistent structured finish. 93pt” (Sam Kim, Wine Orbit). For Aaron Brasher in The Real Review it offers: " Lifted and evocative aromas of mulberry, dark cherry, cola, spice and sarsaparilla. Brooding and powerful on the palate, lashings of dark fruits, licorice, sour cherry and cedar. Bright, crunchy acidity and grippy, granular tannins round the wine out very nicely. 92pts".
