Blending fruit from estate vineyards and top Napa Valley growers, this Cabernet embodies the complexity of the valley, while offering a seamless balance between fruit, oak and tannins. To add balance, complexity, and detail, the Cabernet is blended with 4% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc, yielding a wine that is approachable in its youth, yet worthy of cellaring. Matured for 18 months in 100% French oak barrels, of which 50% were new. This voluptuous wine reveals aromas of spiced blackberry, blueberry, and blackcurrant, milk chocolate and liquorice. On the palate, lively acidity adds poise and brightness to the blackberry and black raspberry flavours, with rich, chocolatey tannins and notes of black tea adding suppleness and sophistication to a long, luxurious finish.
