Blanc de Blancs translates as white of whites to make this wine we stole grapes from our Hard Chard snatching them off the vine early to lock in their fresh crispness. A ripe, full bodied style of Chardonnay full of melon fruit leading into rich tropical flavours. There's a good length of citrus acidity running along the palate to keep things fresh, while the oak is gentle and well integrated. When the first German immigrants arrived in South Australia, they brought with them their culture, religion, and a hard work ethic. They established vineyards and built a church to house their faith in a small town. However, the two priests disagreed on most things. In an attempt to stop their quarrelling two separate churches were built. The original preachers might not have seen eye to eye, and these days we still have our differences, but one thing we all agree on is South Australia’s reputation to grow world class wine.

Selaks called this Chardonnay Buttery because it is smooth, creamy and simply melts in your mouth. Bold and strong in character, this deep rich and golden Chardonnay is filled with stone fruit aromas and a sweet textured palate. The criminally intense toasty oak notes have hints of butterscotch and honey balanced with layers of ripe fruit. This full bodied, powerful wine finishes with rich notes of butter and vanilla.

Displays classic Chardonnay characters of white peach, nectarine and fresh figs. The palate is fresh and vibrant with fruit flavours of citrus and white peach. Maturation in French oak provides subtle nutmeg and clove characters on the palate, while a clean slatey acid backbone provides length and structure to the wine. The wine is complex with no single character dominating the wine. The flavour of the wine persists long after it has left the mouth.
