A medium-bodied, cool climate style with stalky whole bunch notes, white pepper and cedar over fresh red berry fruit, and a a clean, dry and supple finish.

The grapes for this wine come from a small vineyard that Sam helped establish in the 1980s and is now at peak maturity.

Tahbilk Estate Marsanne

It wouldnt be Tahbilk without Marsanne. First planted on the Estate in the 1860s, we have the largest single holding of this unique varietal worldwide including surviving vines dating back to 1927, amongst the oldest in the world. So it is pretty exciting that the first vintage Estate white is indeed Marsanne!. There is delicious early flavour development with this latest release, the result of a long growing season. Those flavours are fresh and zesty lemon/lime, pear and guava fruits alongside apple blossom and jasmine aromas. Juicy and taut now with savoury and mineral touches, careful cellaring will realise noted marmalade and honeyed notes.

Tyrrell's Hunter Valley Shiraz

From a fantastic vintage in the Hunter Valley, the Tyrrell's Wines Shiraz 2014 has been crafted in a distinctive Hunter Burgundy style by red winemaker Mark Richardson. In the glass: Medium density red.On the nose: Black cherry, plum, earth, leather and pepper.On the palate: Unashamedly medium weight and very savoury with a fine, velvety texture showing red and black fruit flavours with earth and spice elements, fine tannins and a persistent finish. A true Hunter Burgundy style.

Knee Deep Margaret River Sauvignon Blanc

A family owned and operated winery in Western Australia's glorious Margaret River wine region. Established in 2000, Knee Deep has an enviable reputation for crafting serious quality wines, but without the hefty price tags of some of their 'elite' neighbours. The ancient terroir, pure ocean breezes, and warm mild climate produce vintages of balance, complexity and quality, as clearly demonstrated in this juicy and admirable Sauvignon Blanc. Vibrant aromas of honeysuckle and mandarin before a palate of honeydew, citrus blossom and white peach flavours. 18% underwent fermentation in French oak, and was then left of lees for 5 months. The result? A creamy texture with hints of cashew, superbly balanced by a fine acid line drawing the wine through to a long, flavoursome finish. South of Lisbon on Portugal’s Atlantic coast, the Setúbal Peninsula is famous for its rolling Atlantic waves and its long lived, fortified dessert wines. However, the sunny climate, tempered by cooling ocean breezes, is also proving itself with bold, fruit forward reds. Parker rated winemaker Jaime Quendera firmly believes in the region and is dedicated to bringing it to the world’s attention. He was the man behind the ‘Best Red Wine in the World’ a few years back. This 2020 is a sumptuous blend of native Aragonez (aka Tempranillo), Syrah and Cabernet. Delicious with pork and chorizo casserole or chicken dishes.
