Josef Chromy Marchington Tasmania Chardonnay
Tasmanian Chardonnay rarely leaves the state. This not only comes from Tasmania but is made for us exclusively at the great, 5-Star Josef Chromy estate. A thrilling must-try new white, and a name with a very colourful story behind it. Josef Chromy set up his winery in Tasmania in 2007 aged 76, having escaped from Czechoslavakia in 1950. We are very proud to have a Chromy exclusive, as Tasmania’s highly celebrated wines almost never leave the state! This fresh and elegant white exclusive takes its name from the source of its premium fruit – the Marchington Vineyard, planted on the Marchington estate, by a man called John Smith, the alleged illegitimate son of a King of England, shipped to Tasmania in the 1800s. Don’t miss it!

De Bortoli Noble One Botrytis Semillon
The Noble One by De Bortoli is considered Australia's premier dessert wine, and for obvious reasons. The wine has won countless awards at the leading wine shows around the country and has a wonderful propensity to develop even further in the bottle. The 2002 Noble One is a classic expression of the style with rich apricot treacle characters with fig and orange blossom still active on the nose and palate. Hints of vanilla bean and a refreshing acidity on the finish mean this decade old wine will continue to live in the cellar for many years more.
Allegiance Wines The Artisan Reserve Barossa Valley Shiraz
Angas King Old Vine Reserve Barossa Valley Shiraz
This old vine Barossa Shiraz is the top-of-the-line Angas King offering. Made only in the best years from premium fruit drawn from a single Barossa vineyard, it’s a truly memorable drop. Gnarled old vines yielding minimal fruit made this an intensely flavourful wine, but also a rare one. As Winepilot’s Ray Jordan says, “2018 turned out to be a very good year in the Barossa. This captures the region, the season and the variety as well as you could expect. It’s concentrated and powerful, and yet there’s a high degree of elegance. Dark, plummy, spicy notes with a little roasted coffee, and just a lick of oak on the finish… 95pts”. Sam Kim (WineOrbit) calls it “wonderfully ripe and inviting, featuring aromas of blackberry, cake spice, vanilla, toasty oak, and mocha. On the palate, it is concentrated, with outstanding weight and rich texture. With a beautifully structured profile and polished tannins, it fills the mouth with delicious flavours, leading to a long and satisfying finish. 96pts”. Drinking spectacularly now, it will cellar well as long as 2040.

Mountadam High Eden Estate Chardonnay
Displays classic Chardonnay characters of white peach, nectarine and fresh figs. The palate is fresh and vibrant with fruit flavours of citrus and white peach. Maturation in French oak provides subtle nutmeg and clove characters on the palate, while a clean slatey acid backbone provides length and structure to the wine. The wine is complex with no single character dominating the wine. The flavour of the wine persists long after it has left the mouth.
