This exciting modern Portuguese white boasts a wonderful array of crisp flavours thanks to a unique blend of grapes – and meticulous winemaking. Portinho do Côvo is made by multi-award-winning Jaime Quendera, using the native grapes of Verdelho and Fernão Pires. Together they lend brilliant lemony intensity, with a hint of spice. The vines grow close to the coast, just off which lies the little island of Pessegueiro. There, legend has it, Cupid exiled three mermaids, hence the trio on the label. Mermaids aside, the coastal region is great for vines and assures a long, slow ripening for freshness and lifted aromas in the wines. Seafood features prominently on local menus - the ideal pairing for Portinho's citrusy zing.

Houghton CW Ferguson Cabernet Malbec is a tribute to Charles William Ferguson. A pioneer of the Swan Valley region, Charles Ferguson was committed to developing the area along with the reputation of Houghton's. This Cabernet Malbec is the first release and is accumulating a list of gold medals the envy of most, including the Regional Trophy for best Australian red blend over £10 at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2011.

This wine is classic Coonawarra in style with ripe berry and cassis aromas and flavours layered over fine tannins. Cabernet is the major component and backbone with Merlot adding softness and drinkability.

The Portrait wines embody the original promise Peter Lehmann made to the growers to make wines that show the true character of the Barossa. Collectively, these wines present a portrait of the region with a selection of the traditional varietals that made it famous. A vivacious wine, with balance and structure, made from dry grown low-yielding bush Grenache and a touch of Shiraz. The colour is a delicate salmon pink with an aroma of early picked raspberries and strawberries. It is a refreshing, dry Rosé style ideal for casual sipping or as an accompaniment to lighter food dishes - served lightly chilled and drink it while it is young and fresh.

Pinot Grigio is one of the most popular whites in the western world, loved for its refreshing, delicate flavours. Inland from Venice, the high altitude Adige Valley is home to some of the best quality examples in Italy, if not the world. This wine was made by local expert Giuseppe Secchi. He named it after a famous local vineyard - on a cone shaped hill that was once home to a Roman temple, approached by a spiralling path lined with pine trees. Cool climate fresh and truly thirst quenching, this wine displays crisp, pure, lemon and grapefruit flavours, a touch of ripe, white stone fruit and a sophisticated, minerally edge. It's a 'drink anytime' wine but perhaps best enjoyed as an aperitivo, with seafood, grilled fish or summer salads.
