A simple yet flavoursome entry level Sauvignon Blanc. Brilliant water like colour with greenish tinged edges. Aromas of tropical fruit, melon and green apple are followed by some delicate herbaceous notes. The flavoursome palate features passionfruit, lime and green apple fruits over subtle cut grass and mineral elements. Nicely rounded mouth feel with a lick of brisk acidity on the fruity finish. For fans of elegant pinks, there’s one style that trumps all others – Provençal rosé. As the only wine region to specialise in rosé production, Provence not only offers “a wine for almost any occasion, but also guarantees quality” says the Independent. And this cooperative delivers just that, with value. As one of the oldest cellars in the region, it has been crafting fine rosé since 1912. Owned by a small group of growers, its modest size ensures meticulous care in both vineyard and cellar. Grenache and Cinsault make up a large portion of this pink and were harvested from the high-altitude, limestone slopes of Sainte-Baume. Full of fresh berry flavour with a crisp mineral edge and a dry finish – it's great solo and versatile with food.
