Irvine Estate is home to Barossa vineyards that date back to 1867. We’re especially thrilled to introduce Ruth’s Block Shiraz to you today because it is made exclusively for us. You won’t find it in any bottle shops. As our buyer Dan Parrott says, “Having a winery the calibre of Irvine make a wine just for us is a big deal. Mostly because they don’t need to. They already sell everything they make. Dark cherry, violet and cinnamon spice aromas complement red fruit, chocolate and subtle spice flavours on the palate. The fruit flavours are framed with supple tannins and a core of juicy acidity. This wine is immediately enjoyable but will continue to drink well for the next eight years if you can wait that long.

Elegantly concentrated flavours of vibrant dark berry and black cherry fruit showing succulence and rich intensity. The palate is guided by very fine-grained, chalky tannins, with soft acidity providing drive & liveliness. A silken seduction framed & balanced with fine tannins providing the most elegant structure.

Rich aroma with a complex bouquet. The wine opens with intense yeast autolysis characters of pie crust, bread and nougat. There are underlying characters of citrus, apple and fennel, along with flint, hay and almond. Light and delicate with a tight, fine line of acidity, leading to a long focused palate with a creamy texture. Rich autolysis characters of brioche and nougat lead the way with hints of citrus, almond, fennel and hay. This refreshing wine has a long, dry, crisp finish. Ideal match with aperitifs, seafood, cheese or lightly flavoured poultry.

Rounded and smooth with a creamy texture and a fine line of acid. Ripe fruit with nutty - almond like oak. There is an underlying smokey-lanolin complexity with peach, nectarine,spice and lime.

We are absolutely thrilled to bring to you the Chandon Vintage Brut Rosé, exclusive to Vintage Cellars! A beautiful blend, the pinot component adds lovely strawberry flavours to the creamy nutty characters of the chardonnay which are the hallmark of the house of Chandon. Rich salmon pink in colour, the nose delivers enticing aromas of freshly baked pastry and nougat along with spice notes and hints of cherry and ripe strawberry. The palate is dense and multi-layered with mouth-filling red berry flavours complemented by toasty characters. A beautifully structured mid-palate is supported by savoury spice and fine creamy notes. The inclusion of red pinot noir base wine in the blend provides great complexity, persistence and a sublime long, dry finish.

Jean-Marc Sauboua first made this unique wine for the team at a special Castillon cellar – as a treat to enjoy after late-night working. All the best 'off cuts' that any discerning butcher (or in this case, winemaker) would keep back for his own dinner, hence the wine's name. They made the mistake of showing it off and the secret was out. La Part du Boucher comprises small amounts of wine left at the end of bottling, carefully blended, then stashed away for a while in barrel. It’s a magnificent blend – we couldn't tell you exactly what, but a little Pomerol, Pauillac perhaps and Saint Emilion rubbing shoulders with other stars from the southwest. What we can tell you is that it's a big, warming red. Decant and serve in large-bowled glasses.
