Ponting Pinnacle McLaren Vale Shiraz
Stonehaven Stepping Stone Limestone Coast Malbec
Hither & Yon McLaren Vale Shiraz
Aromas of violets, black berries, cloves. The palate shows mulberries, blueberry, choc-mint biscuits. A touch of malbec brings some brown earth and provides a rustic edge to the tannin. Still very soft and juicy, delicious and youthful drinkingwhich was the aim, even from older vines.
Halt n' Run Chardonnay
This premium, fresh, yet oaky Chardonnay from Barossa fruit, has plenty of bright orchard and citrus fruit, with a long balanced and textured finish.
Vinifera Organic Cabernet Sauvignon
Pour yourself a glass of a 91pt organic Cabernet that"...would make any Cabernet drinker very pleased indeed.” (Halliday). “Filled out with blackberries in syrup, black cherries and cassis. Some brooding caraway spice and cedar notes take the drinker on a journey through a woodland forest, into an apothecary and back into the kitchen for homemade blackberry pie. There is a nice amount of fruit sweetness and grainy coffee grinds with astute tannins. This is drinking well now ..." (Shanteh Wale, The Halliday Wine Companion). Vinifera is the Mudgee based winery of Tony McKendry and family.
Peter Lehmann Stonewell Shiraz
One of the benchmarks of Barossa Shiraz, Peter Lehmann's Stonewell is a classic example of the rich concentrated old vine style. While bold on the palate, there is always an inherent complexity to the Stonewell that enables it to be compared with all of the great Australian wines produced today.
Heirloom Vineyards Adelaide Hills Pinot Grigio
"Faintly pinkish hue, as expected given some skin contact winemaking with this variety, as appears to be the case here. True to type aromas of brown-skinned pear and red-skinned apple with a savoury element providing some complexity. Clean and crisp on the palate, the sweetish fruit is well balanced by the acidity and a textural astringency which sits comfortably." 92 points, James Halliday Wine Companion, August 2017.
Willow Bridge Dragonfly Geographe Cabernet Merlot
Estate grown from the spectacular hillside vineyard in the Ferguson Valley of the Geographe wine region, fruit is sourced predominately from the Blinman block which was planted in 1998. Soil is typically a deep layer of ironstone gravelly loam over red and yellow friable clay with slight westerly aspects at elevations of 220 to 250m above sea level.
