But after 30-odd years working for other wineries, he took the big step of setting up on his own in 2018 – and, being an old friend of ours, we backed him every step of the way. In return, Sam creates some excellent wines just for us, most have become bestsellers. We suspect this cracking white will shortly join them.

Logan is a family-owned and -operated business with an emphasis on cool-climate wines from Orange and Mudgee. Peter Logan's 'Love & Valour' is a hugely popular range that occasionally drifts beyond his home in Orange. This 2022 Riesling is from the picturesque Clare Valley. Peter is an excellent winemaker and this makes delicious drinking.
