Hervé Sabardeil, our winemaker with limitless talent, has been making Cabalié, the big, ripe Catalan red, for over 15 years. He added the old-vine (Vieilles Vignes) edition in 2011, originally as a one off, but it was so popular we insisted he did it again. And again! The magic to this punchy red is really in the vines. At 60 to 100-years-old, yields are minute (about half of a Grand Cru claret). As a rule of thumb, the smaller the yield, the more concentrated the fruit, the more flavoursome the wine! That’s why we call it Cabalié’s Big Brother. Still made in the same style that was beloved by the Roman centurions and now our customers too, it packs even more flavour than the original. Ideal with garlic-roasted lamb, rich stews or cheese.

Delicious! Winemakers Eric and David Martin create a range of largely reds from their fourth generation family domaine, established back in 1905. They continue combining traditional vinification practises and respect for the environment. This is a delicious, full-bodied and peppery Grenache-rich blend from Cairanne, a commune in the Vaucluse department in the south of the Côtes-du-Rhône region.

Provence is the world epicentre for pale, sophisticated rosé wines that offer delicate citrus and summer berry flavours, and L’Art Provençal is a classic example of this style. It’s no surprise that Provence makes exceptional rosé as the region has an ideal climate for refreshing pinks, with twice as much sunshine as London, yet relatively moderate temperatures even in the height of summer. This delightful rosé is from the Breban family’s domaine, high in the hills of the Côte d’Azur. Their vineyards are surrounded by wooded hillsides and have a sunny south-facing aspect and well-drained soil to help keep the flavours concentrated. Rounded with savoury, subtle fruitiness this is an ideal rosé to enjoy with poached salmon, salt and pepper squid or on its own.

Monsieur Paul was making his wine during WW2. He’s now in his 90s and still going strong! When he was a boy his family were the last remaining to bring in the grapes as the rest of the village marched away to war. Moulin de Pontfract survived and continues to prosper today. Even after the rich and famous flocked to Provence and his neighbouring town of Correns, buying up vineyards to make pricey rosés, Monsieur Paul batted away the glitz and stuck to his winemaking roots. Whilst he may not be doing the back-breaking work of harvest anymore, he’s still there, perched on the hilltop with a walkie-talkie directing the pickers. And his rosé is as good as ever – fresh and fruity with strawberry charm.

St Hugo GSM is aromatic and bright, yet exudes the style and pedigree which are hallmarks of the St Hugo label. This Grenache Shiraz Mataro blend shows lifted fruit aromas of Turkish delight and briary complexity. The palate is plush, full and complex. Ripe fruit flavours are complemented by silky tannins and subtle oak.

Juicy red fruit flavours from the McLaren Vale are balanced with depth from the Barossa Valley. This is a lighter style red wine with flavours of raspberry and strawberry along with hints of cinnamon spice.

Following in the footsteps of the highly successful La Planchaliere rosé, we present a sparkling version in a handy can format. The wine is produced from grenache and cinsault and is a beautiful French rosé in colour. The bouquet presents delicate notes of strawberries and red berries such as raspberries and fresh cherries. The palate dances nicely between fresh fruits, citrus characters and a lovely clean, crispness.

This outstanding rosé is a collaboration between Jon Bon Jovi, his son Jesse and Gérard Bertrand. It represents the spirit and lifestyle of the south of France. The grapes were selected from only the best sites. Elegant, with a pale rose colour. The wine is fresh and lively with distinctive minerality and a long-lasting finish, intensified by aging in French oak barrels. Its intense aromas of red fruit, citrus fruit and spices make it another perfect companion to be shared among friends.
