Sourced from vines planted in the rich red soils of the Lienert Vineyards, where the fruit ripens lazily under the big blue skies of the Barossas western ridge. The result is a wonderfully flavoursome blend of Barossas three hero red varieties Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro. The Grenache brings vitality and juicy red fruits. Shiraz provides richness and dark fruits, with Mataro playing a key role delivering structure and a good dose of spice.

Offering charm and opulence in every glass there’s an abundance of fresh cut flowers like lavender and rose and cherry, cranberry, blood orange and raspberry characters throughout the flowing palate equipped with bright acidity. The tannin is like fine talcum and the flavours are at a full 10/10 at this stage of relative infancy. 40% Shiraz, 32% Mourvedre and 28% Grenache make up this lovely rich Barossa blend. Ruby in colour, with a wonderful nose of plum, raspberry and caramel with a supple and silky palate. Delicious wine with a lingering finish. A real winner!

Amelia and Trent Burge are the 6TH generation of a Barossa winemaking legacy. The two siblings, have named this collaborative range after a Burge family vineyard, where they spent many childhood years, affectionately calling it The Sandmine vineyard due to its location near a neighbouring sandmine. The old vineyards roots run deep into the soil giving them constant access to the underground water. The range includes a flagship wine for each of the duo, The Grenache favoured by Amelia for its rich black-currant, red and dark fruit flavours. This modern Barossa Grenache, from the familys 100 year old bush vines is a fruit driven style, with mouth filling richness and subtle tannins.
