The Hedonist McLaren Vale Sangiovese

All hedonists will adore this 93pt, Great Value McLaren Vale Sangiovese. It's "So varietally distinct, cherry scented, spicy, savoury and mineral of feel. This is also frisky, freshly cast and so engagingly drinkable.e...throughly delicious." (Marcus Ellis, The Halliday Wine Companion). The Hedonist is the enterprise of Walter Clappis, who has been making wine in McLaren Vale for nearly 40 years and has won innumerable Trophies and Gold medals. His daughtewr Kimberly Cooter helps him with the winemaking.

La Scelta di Sofia Toscana

You may well have tasted wines made from Tuscany's flagship red grape, Sangiovese, but La Scelta di Sofia is something totally unique. Very hard to find. It's a rare white wine made from the red Sangiovese grape – and has already notched up a huge 96pt score. Sofia Barbanera is an exceptional, pioneering winemaker at her family’s beautiful Tuscan estate, which has been handcrafting excellent wines for over 80 years. (Her Saracosa wines are massively popular among our customers.) Surrounded by some of the region’s most famous cellars, Sofia works hard to impress. Knowing her fans' love for Sangiovese, Sofia took it for a spin, with fantastic results. Her creation - a dazzlingly fresh white! Personally selecting the vineyard plots for this wine, she gave the grapes the gentlest pressing to ensure a light wine with quince and citrus aromas. Wonderfully, it still retains the tart cherry hallmarks of Sangiovese. Deliciously different and ideal with risotto, seafood and chicken.

Taltarni Victoria Sangiovese

Cool climate Sangiovese from Victoria's Pyrenees region and 5 star-rated Taltarni set up by the Goelet family, founders of Clos du Val in Napa Valley back in 1972.

Prugneto Sangiovese Superiore

Mercer Wines Orange Rosé

95pt, Gold rosé from Orange and the outstanding Mercer. "Another reliable and consistently in-demand wine from Mercer. It has the textural grip of watermelon rind coupled with white strawberries and cranberries, with a hint of orange oil, making for a wine that you want to drink on all occasions. Dry, lively and vivid with Pink Lady apples and zesty citrus. A bottle you put on the table and it's the first to go. Great value, great vibes. 95pt." (Shanteh Wale, The Halliday Wine Companion). Aaron Mercer spent years at Tamburlaine, and had stints at Tyrrell’s and Brokenwood, before setting up on his own. More than a quarter-century after Mercer first started crafting wine, the Hunter Valley-born vigneron recently won Rising Star of the Year at The Real Review awards, and has been nominated for Halliday’s Dark Horse Winery of the Year 2027. He’s also worked in California, France and Germany so brings a great deal of experience to his winemaking, with a great small-batch range from premium Hunter Valley sites, Tumbarumba and Orange.
