Selva del Moro Organic Chianti Classico
Wild Daisy Cabernet Sangiovese
Andrew McPherson has a well-deserved reputation for being a great brilliant technical innovator and made wine all over the world before settling back in Australia. He was chief winemaker for many years, but that honour now belongs to Jo Nash. Wild Daisy is as lively as its pretty label – Cabernet with a portion of cherry-fresh, Italian inspired Sangiovese, so what you enjoy is an Aussie version of one of Italy’s pricey, ‘super Tuscans’. It’s a delicious drop, a top choice at a barbecue, with pizza or pasta. Great solo too.

Five Vineyard Estate Plenty Sangiovese
Savour a well-balanced, succulent dark cherry single vineyard 92pt Sangiovese from Victoria’s Five Vineyards. “This is immediately appealing on the nose with red cherry, wild strawberry, thyme, game, and almond notes, followed by a juicy palate offering smooth flow with silky texture and finely integrated tannins. It's attractively composed and expressed with a lengthy, succulent finish. 92pts.” (Sam Kim, Wine Orbit).“92 Points - From a single vineyard in the Plenty region in Victoria, this is the second release of this wine. It is one of the better examples of this variety on offer in this country” - Ken Garrett, Wine Pilot
La Scelta di Sofia Toscana
You may well have tasted wines made from Tuscany's flagship red grape, Sangiovese, but La Scelta di Sofia is something totally unique. Very hard to find. It's a rare white wine made from the red Sangiovese grape – and has already notched up a huge 96pt score. Sofia Barbanera is an exceptional, pioneering winemaker at her family’s beautiful Tuscan estate, which has been handcrafting excellent wines for over 80 years. (Her Saracosa wines are massively popular among our customers.) Surrounded by some of the region’s most famous cellars, Sofia works hard to impress. Knowing her fans' love for Sangiovese, Sofia took it for a spin, with fantastic results. Her creation - a dazzlingly fresh white! Personally selecting the vineyard plots for this wine, she gave the grapes the gentlest pressing to ensure a light wine with quince and citrus aromas. Wonderfully, it still retains the tart cherry hallmarks of Sangiovese. Deliciously different and ideal with risotto, seafood and chicken.
Taltarni Victoria Sangiovese
Cool climate Sangiovese from Victoria's Pyrenees region and 5 star-rated Taltarni set up by the Goelet family, founders of Clos du Val in Napa Valley back in 1972.
Coriole McLaren Vale Sangiovese
Mark Lloyd of Coriole planted Sangiovese in his McLaren Vale vineyards in the mid 1980s and in 1999 he famously won the inaugural Australian Sangiovese Awards – a precursor to the Australian Alternative Varieties Wine Show, where this delicious 2016 Sangiovese won Gold! It has beautiful bright spiced cherry and plum fruit, with a savoury touch of herbs and spice. It's a terrific food wine - try it with your best Italian pasta dish.
