The 2022 is the fresh follow up vintage of the Pink Duck – highly anticipated by many to be another showstopping blush. True to Sam’s Italian heritage, it’s made from nearly all Montepulciano with a splash of Vermentino to add extra lemony zip. A pretty hue, lovely ripe fruit and zesty freshness. No need to fly north for this one, it’s glorious drinking in any season.

The single vineyard fruit is crushed and soaked on skins for two hours to extract a lovely pink colour. It's lightly pressed, cold settled and fermented in stainless steel tanks to retain fresh aromas and flavours throughout. Enjoy a fruity nose of strawberry and orange, while flavours of mixed berries, lightly spiced red cherry and zingy citrus burst in your mouth. Tscharke are leading the way with organic wines that reflect the terroir and the personality of the fruit, in this case grenache from the Marananga sub region. This is a deliciously versatile, luscious Barossa Grenache with just a dash of Mourvèdre (aka Mataro) for complexity and freshness. Some lees fermentation added some texture and body.
