Brothers David and Matthew Lloyd’s grandfather started planting vines and making wine in McLaren Vale in the 1960’s. David and Matthew continue the family tradition today, with individual vineyards in the Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale. Their McLaren Vale estate is also home to an impressive olive grove, planted by an English pioneer in the 1800s, then grafted over to Kalamata olives in the 1960s. And this cooperative delivers just that, with value. As one of the oldest cellars in the region, it has been crafting fine rosé since 1912. Owned by a small group of growers, its modest size ensures meticulous care in both vineyard and cellar. Grenache and Cinsault make up a large portion of this pink and were harvested from the high-altitude, limestone slopes of Sainte-Baume. Full of fresh berry flavour with a crisp mineral edge and a dry finish – it's great solo and versatile with food.

This Margaret River Sauvignon from the "formidable partnership" (Halliday) of Byron & Harold is "an intriguing mix of the herbal and tropical..."(WinePilot) and "fabulously aromatic..." with "terrific fruit intensity" (Wine Orbit). The fruit here is a combination from two vineyards, one in the north of the Margaret River region and the other close to Augusta in the south. Jane Faulkner in The Halliday Wine Companion gives it 92pts – “Any overt tropical fruit flavours are pared back so this reveals more white stone fruit and citrus – from lemon, lime and grapefruit to makrut lime leaves. There’s a hint of white pepper and coriander seeds with plenty of fresh herbs and bright acidity.92pts.”
