Sunday Bay is a phenomenon. Kiwi Sauvignon is by far our most popular style, and our range is full of standout examples. So it’s a huge statement that Sunday Bay, year after year, is the one our customers rate highest and re-order most. It's made by an award-winning family winery, who were some of the first pioneers of the Marlborough region. Phil and Chris Rose founded the estate back in 1978, now their five children have joined them, so it's very much a family affair. Their Sunday Bay is a classic Sauvignon. Exuberant grapefruit and grassy nettle character with a bright citrus zip; all the usual Marlborough pizzazz and more. It’s very moreish solo or makes the perfect partner to all sorts of seafood, spicy stir-fry or Thai fish cakes.

Brightwater is from a tiny family estate our Buyer first visited in 2002, having noticed that famous Aussie wine writer James Halliday had reviewed their Sauvignon above Cloudy Bay. Their 2009 was also rated as 5 Stars by top Kiwi wine critic Bob Campbell MW. A classic match with goat's cheese, it's also just the ticket with seafood, especially oysters. Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is a phenomenon – a white wine loved by our thirsty customers. And for good reason. This northern-tip region on New Zealand's South Island delivers wines bounding with fabulous ripe tropical fruit and zingy citrus freshness. Not all, however, get it as right as Hole in the Clouds. The grapes that go into this wine have been lavished with the greatest TLC, to ensure ultra healthy, perfectly ripe berries, every one. What's in the bottle will prove that. Chill it down, unscrew the cap and unleash the flavours. You'll smell that fruit before the glass nears your nose. Hole in the Clouds is a blast as a glass on its own, and equally delicious with salmon with saucy salsa, barbecued prawns, chicken or Thai green curry.

Refresh yourself with a beautifully breezy, Tassie organic Sauvignon alive with tang and energy, from Tamar Valley's Small Wonder winery, set up in 2020, and certified organic in 2022. This is fruit-forward and very fresh, with appealing gooseberry flavours and herbal nuances with a note of ginger. Small Wonder came into being in 2020 on the site of the old Goaty Hill winery in the Tamar Valley. Viticulturalist Wayne Nunn and consultant Dylan Grigg oversaw the transformation to Organic certification in 2022, and the building of a state-of-the-art winery in 2024. Today winemaker Ockie Myburgh is at the helm. The Small Wonder website notes: “ Old vine Sauvignon Blanc in Tasmania is underrated.
