Named after the famous Coorong an untamed wetland ecosystem inhabited by indigenous wildlife for over 6000 years (and made famous by the film Storm Boy). The Currong National Park that extends into the Limestone Coast. The region enjoys a strongly maritime climate and its grapes develop a delicious intensity as a result.

Refresh yourself with a dazzling RedHeads Sauvignon – proving how well Coonawarra, normally celebrated for its reds, especially Cabernet, handles white varieties. Lime and melon aromas add savoury character to the citrus fruit, which on the palate boasts gooseberry, grapefruit and hints of tropical passion fruit, Sereia, a rare girl's name comes from the Portuguese word for mermaid.

Brightwater is from a tiny family estate our Buyer first visited in 2002, having noticed that famous Aussie wine writer James Halliday had reviewed their Sauvignon above Cloudy Bay. Their 2009 was also rated as 5 Stars by top Kiwi wine critic Bob Campbell MW. A classic match with goat's cheese, it's also just the ticket with seafood, especially oysters.
