Mumm in collaboration with Pernod Ricard Winemakers. It is the house’s first still release from New Zealand, sourced exclusively from the Lowburn sub-region of Central Otago, where schist and gravel soils meet sharp diurnal shifts to yield Pinot Noir of intensity and clarity. Hand-harvested fruit and precise winemaking—including 16 months in French oak with 50% new barrels—give this wine both muscular depth and polish. With its rich fruit, savoury layers, and fine tannins, it channels Central Otago’s bold character while remaining refined and ageworthy. You are greeted on the nose with suggestions of bramble and spice, gradually opening up to reveal red and black berry fruits, spice, leather and subtle floral notes.The palate is soft and supple, with cranberries and sweet red berry fruits upon entry. Fine silky tannins entwine a concentrated core of juicy black cherries, dark berry fruits, dried herbs and cocoa before trailing off to a long even finish.
