Palate structure derives from small-batch fermentation, some in stainless steel, and a portion in old oak barrels, the latter contributing an attractive savouriness

Bright red berry fruits of raspberry and strawberry. Blackberry and plum fill the front palate, with a nice layer of spice in the middle with just the right amount of soft French oak tannins at the back.

The Spanish fieasta is here – crack out the Tempranillo and serve up the chorizo. My forefathers were from Spain, but I am a local through and through. I grew up in the Canberra region and my grapes were carefully picked by hand, only the best will do so naturally I was aged in French oak. I have a curvaceous medium body, a rich mouthfeel and ripe plum fruit flavours with earthy hints of mature spice and black tea tannin.

This NV (non-vintage) sparkling wine has a small percentage of older material blended back into the base wine to add some complexity.

With an alluring nose of pepper, blueberry, and blackberry, this Barossa Valley beauty has layers of flavour, ripe fruit, excellent balance, and enough structure to evolve for a few years.

While Chateau Latour might be proximate to the famed Leoville estate, Chateau Leoville-Las-Cases is individually distinguished for its own unique character, and regularly is called the best wine of St-Julien. Classic Las Cases wines show incredible perfume, a result of lower temperature fermentation and an adherence to around three quarters of their barrels being new oak. The 2010 is as always Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, and shows with elegance, finesse and yet a layered complexity that draws the drinker in. Potential for this wine is immense; a life of 30 to 40 years in cellar should be considered.

Mouton Cadet Select, is the result of the selection from the best parcels of highest terroirs across the Bordeaux region. Created in 1930, by Baron Philippe de Rothschild, Mouton Cadet has become a standard-setter for Bordeaux wines in France and rapidly overseas. The nose initially reveals black cherry, very ripe red fruit notes, hints of mocha and spice. From a supple and voluptuous attack on attractive fruit, the mid-palate displays powerful flavours with forward red fruit, leading into a long and spicy finish.

A wine with the pizzazz of a unicorn, but the serious expression of a rhino it will charge the palate with a surprising blend of juicy blue and blackberries with a soft tannin finish, dazzling not just to the eye but to every sense.

This full-bodied and juicy red wine from the famous Spanish region Rioja is characterised by intense aromas of blackberries, plums and spice. Perfectly paired with red meats or a cheese board.
