Tasmanian Pinot Noir very rarely leaves the state! This bight, vibrant and elegant gem not only comes from Tasmania but is made for us exclusively at the great Josef Chromy estate. A thrilling must-try red, and a name with a very colourful story behind it. Josef Chromy set up his winery in Tasmania in 2007 aged 76, having escaped from Czechoslavakia in 1950. We are very proud to have a Chromy exclusive, as Tasmania’s highly celebrated wines almost never leave the state! This rather regal Pinot Noir takes its name from the source of its premium fruit – the Marchington Vineyard, planted on the Marchington estate, by a man called John Smith, the alleged illegitimate son of a King of England, shipped to Tasmania in the 1800s. Don’t miss it!

Juicy and beautifully rounded (Wine Orbit) 91pt Pinot Noir from the excellent Brightwater Vineyards in sunny Nelson, in the northern tip of New Zealand's South Island. "Sweetly ripe and attractively fragrant on the nose with red cherry, thyme, roasted nut and warm spice aromas, leading to a finely flowing palate that's juicy and beautifully rounded. It's supple and elegantly flavoursome with spicy/savoury nuances, finishing long and silky. 91pts" (Sam Kim, Wine Orbit)

A lovely Pinot Noir from WA's remote Great Southern with scores of 92 & 93pts.. "This is a lovely fruit-driven style of pinot noir, with bright red fruits showing primary notes of wild strawberry and raspberry, and just a faint hint of sour cherry. The texture is fine and quite delicate, yet there is a deep intensity here as it wraps up with subtle oak, fine tannins, and a nice acidity to harness and carry through to a long finish. Great mouthfeel, with those dry, savory tannins on the finish. 93pts" (Ray Jordan Wine Guide). Phil Shilcock and Michelle Gray purchased the former Montgomery’s Hill in October 2017 and launched the Monty’s Leap brand. The mature vineyard (planted in 1996) is planted on the banks of the Kalgan River, 16km northeast of Albany.
