Domaine Lamy-Pillot 1er Cru Morgeot, Chassagne-Montrachet Domaine Lamy-Pillot is a small family-run winery, established in 1973, which counts as relatively youthful for the region. The wines of Lamy-Pillot are consistent and drinkable in the very best sense. The 1er Cru Chassagne-Montrachet is made with Pinot Noir fruit from vines planted in 1976, just three years after the establishment of the Domaine. It is aged for 12-18 months in barrel, 25% new oak. Closed in its youth, there is plenty of opportunity for ageing here. You will smell red forest fruits and light spice, with a balanced palate recalling raspberry, white pepper, slight smokiness, and whispers of oak.

Domaine Lamy-Pillot Champs de Morgeot, Chassagne-Montrachet Domaine Lamy-Pillot is a small family-run winery, established in 1973, which counts as relatively youthful for the region. The wines of Lamy-Pillot are consistent and drinkable in the very best sense. The Champs de Morgeot is a Pinot Noir wine, hailing from vines up to half a century old. An understated power grounds this wine. A subtle earthiness and dark, dried cherry emanates from the glass. Expect luscious, mouth-filling red and black fruit on the palate, with lingering spice. A satisfying red Burgundy that will age gracefully for 510 years.
