Domaine Francois Lamarche Monopole
Domaine François Lamarche La Grande Rue Monopole Vosne-Romanée The Vosne-Romanée vineyards are planted on deep clay-limestone soils and produce lighter wines, with more subtle aromas, and which develop more quickly. The grapes are handpicked, 80-to-100% de-stemmed (depending on the vintage) prior to a vatting period of about 15 to 18 days, in open oak vats at a controlled low temperature. The wine is then aged in oak casks for between 16 and 20 months riot to being bottled with no fining and no filtering.

Thibault Liger-Belair Grand Cru
Clos de Vougeot is the largest Grand Cru vineyard on the Côte d’Or, dating back to Cistercian times when monks knew what we know now: location, location, LOCATION! Across Thibault Liger-Belair’s holdings old vines from 1944 mesh with younger plantings. The older vines account for 60% of surface area but 40% of fruit volume, so abstemious are the yields. The results speak for themselves, however: depth, clarity, precision and guile.

DOMAINE MONGEARD-MUGNERET Les Suchots 1er cru, Vosne-Romanee Bordering both Romanee Saint Vivant and Richebourg, the 13.08 hectare premier cru Les Suchots produces wines that are, at their best, beautifully seductive and perfumed wines without quite the structure of the two grand crus that shares its borders. Mongeard Mugneret have a .22 ha plot with vines that are 50 years old and its a wine that will reward at least ten years, if not longer, in the cellar.

Domaine Henri Magnien Champerrier
Domaine Henri Magnien Gevrey-Chambertin Champerrier A relatively new cuvée, 2013 the first vintage of this wine. Situated close to Chambertin, Clos de Beze and Mazis-Chambertin, this vineyard is planted to old vines and Henri Magnien makes a mere 1200 bottles made. Champerrier has unusually rocky soils for Gevrey-Chambertin and this is evident in the wine with its minerality and elegance in with all that usual tannic structure. '...this is an exciting emerging domaine with which consumers are warmly advised to acquaint themselves'- Wine Advocate Shop Henri Magnien >
