Pinot Noir

Siduri Wines Pinot Noir

Siduri's Willamette Valley Pinot Noir brings together fruit from top sites across Oregon's renowned Willamette Valley, including vineyards in Yamhill-Carlton, Dundee Hills, and Eola-Amity Hills. Winemaker Adam Lee, who founded Siduri with a focus on single-vineyard Pinot Noir, blends these parcels to capture the region's balance of purity and depth. Fermentation is carried out in open-top tanks with partial whole clusters to enhance structure and aromatic lift, followed by maturation in French oak barrels, mainly used, to preserve site expression over oak influence. Each vintage typically shows lifted red cherry, raspberry and subtle forest notes, with gentle spice and earth from the cooler climate. The palate is fresh yet supple, with fine tannins and a long, even finish that reflects careful vineyard selection and minimal handling. A benchmark expression of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, offering both immediate appeal and potential for graceful development.

Ata Rangi Masters

Ata Rangi’s Masters Pinot Noir received its inaugural release with the 2020 vintage. The vineyard, owned and farmed by Ata Rangi winemaker Helen Masters, lies just four kilometres south of the Martinborough terrace. Here, clay is naturally found throughout the gravelly soil and it helps to retain moisture, and keep temperatures cooler than typical Martinborough terroir. Masters is a kaleidoscopic expression of pinot noir, featuring aromas of mulberry, baking spices, rosewater, and blood orange, and a palate of rich fruit, pomegranate, nutmeg, and pink peppercorn. The influence of clay soils provides Masters with its expansive, signature texture. Masters is fermented with indigenous yeasts and 70% whole bunches. After two to three weeks in tank, the wine is pressed, and malolactic fermentation is completed in oak. Masters is aged in French oak (30% new) for 11 months, before it is blended, and then held for a further eight months before it is bottled.

Novum Pinot Noir

An opulent Pinot Noir made from select parcels of fruit showcasing its Marlborough origin gloriously. An aromatic wine with black fruit and spice on the nose. The palate is rich, also with black fruit, but a hint of red fruit to add unexpected freshness.Textural and deep, this will age for up to ten years with grace (although its ready to enjoy now). The fruit is 100% destemmed then aged in 30% new oak. Novum use small parcels of fruit from specially selected sites on established Marlborough vineyards to craft the best wines and expressions of terroir possible. Their first vintage arrived in 2016. Novums primary focus is on Syrah, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
