Once again this 2018 'Special Reserve' is made with Shiraz sourced from premium vineyards owned by many of Australia's leading independent growers.

Wine Spectator calls Portugal “the most exciting wine place on the planet”, with its terrific range of native grape varieties and wines that always offer standout value. The rich, mouthfilling Lobo e Falcão fits firmly in that category. It’s made at a 17th century estate owned by the Lobo de Vasconcellos family, once the location of the king’s falconry. Special barrels of wine were kept for the king when he visited. Today, talented winemaker Joana Lopes makes this red specially for us, blending Syrah with Portugal’s exciting native grapes. Previously awarded a Wine Enthusiast Best Buy Award, the 2018 has lovely intensity of flavour due to another low yield year. Generous wild berry fruit and spice with a velvet texture – a very moreish red.

There is something a little magical about Australian Shiraz. All that rich, luscious, dark and velvety Shiraz fruit, topped up by the signature Aussie spice and punch... yum! This one comes from the makers of our bestselling, famous 'The Black Pig' - so you know it will be good! It's a rich spice-fest with layered fruit, soft, velvety tannins and superb balance. This is a wine that you can drink on its own but will be equally good with food.

This juicy ripe red comes from winemaker Stéphane Bouillot. Born in Chablis to a winemaking family with interests not only locally but in the southern Rhône and Provence, he learnt to love both regions. After studying in Beaune, he decided to move south, making fabulous wines from the myriad of terroirs offered there. The grapes come from vineyards at the southernmost end of the Rhône region, in the Bouches-du-Rhône, on the Provence border. Deep ruby, it has complex aromas of jasmine and violets, wild herbs, liquorice, and black cherry. Lush and rounded, it brims with wild berry notes supported by silky tannins and gentle freshness. Great on its own, or with grilled meats and roasted vegetables and couscous.
