Good match with variations of summer greens, salads, grilled vegetables. Very versatile across the board with Asian cuisine as well as flavourful summer food. Riesling has a strong affinity for the cooler climes of the World, and it is therefore no surprise that it would produce wines of great character in the Adelaide Hills. Whilst we made the hard decision to graft some of our Riesling vines over to Pinot Noir some years back, we have retained only the most promising clones to produce our Riesling as its perhaps the top white pick amongst staff and remains a labour of love. The Riesling crop, whilst minuscule, showed hallmark varietal characters and fine acidity nurtured by the cool nights and warm sunny days. Careful sampling in the vineyard, paying particular attention to flavour development and acid levels, meant the fruit was harvested on the 14th of March when the ideal balance was reached. Lifted floral aromas and the lively citrus fruit intensity are finely balanced by the tight structure and crisp natural acidity.

Gomersal Wines is nestled in the heart of the Barossa Valley and embraces the district's traditional approach to winemaking. This Riesling combines lifted aromas of lychee and citrus undertones with crisp pear, lemon and lime flavours, producing a balanced wine with complexity and length.

The grapes for the Winton Road Riesling are carefully harvested from selected older vineyards in the Barossa and Eden Valley. The Barossa winemaking history dates back to the 1840s with Riesling wines being brought to the region by the German and Silesian settlers. These low yielding Riesling vines give structure to the palate while maintaining its refreshing acidity and complementing the fruit and floral characters in the wine. A bright lemon colour with aromas of apple blossom, mandarin zest and wet stone. A structured Riesling with great intensity. The orchard fruit and citrus characters are balanced by a refreshing acidity and chalky minerality. The finish is bright, pure, and long. Awarded Silver at the Critics Wine Challenge 2024.

Famous for their popular and flavoursome Sauvignon Blanc, Giesen produce an enticing and pure Riesling from the same region, Marlborough. Displaying notes of citrus, white flowers and ginger on the nose, this attractive off-dry Riesling shows subtle sweet flavours of lemon curd, mandarin and orange peel. Those flavours are then balanced beautifully with a structured acid backbone and minerality that keeps the succulent flavours dancing on the palate for an age.

Grosset Springvale Riesling from the Clare Valley sub-region of Watervale, takes its name from the Springvale Road vineyard located in the highest part of Watervale. Jeff Grosset's six hectare vineyard produces a wine full of ethereal aromatics, fragrant lemongrass and freshly squeezed lime. Pure lemon flavours over wet pebbles show on the palate that is accented by the wonderful minerality that is the signature of Grosset.
