Marchesi Antinori Tignanello

Product Description: Tignanello redefined—power meets finesse in modern Chianti Classico. Marchesi Antinori’s Tignanello 2020 stands as a milestone in Italian viticulture. Crafted as one of the first Chianti Classico wines to break free from white grapes and aged in barriques, Tignanello now blends tradition with modernity. This vintage features 80 % Sangiovese rounded by 15 % Cabernet Sauvignon and 5 % Cabernet Franc, sourced from Antinori’s carefully tended vineyards on marl-rich calcareous soils. The 2020 season was marked by warm, dry summer conditions followed by tempering September rains—conditions that encouraged optimal phenolic maturity while preserving structure. Harvested and gravity-fed into fermentation vessels, fruit was hand-selected and macerated to achieve balanced extraction. After malolactic fermentation, the wine spent 18 months in French oak before being blended and further refined in barrel, creating a wine of density and poise. This is Tignanello in full stride: rich dark cherry and berry fruit meld with floral violet lift, cocoa, coffee and a well-integrated tannin structure. It’s refined but expressive, built for both now and years ahead. Tasting Notes NOSE – Perfumed and inviting Ripe dark cherries and berries with violet, lavender and hints of cocoa and coffee. PALATE – Layered and taut Juicy red fruit underpinned by spice, liquorice and herb tension across a silky tannin frame. FINISH – Spiced and long Pepper, liquorice and herbs fade into a fresh, saline finish with elegant grip. Marchesi Antinori Solaia

Product Description: Legendary Super Tuscan power shaped by precision and terroir. Marchesi Antinori’s Solaia 2017 is a benchmark blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese grown on the famed Solaia vineyard at Tenuta Tignanello. Crafted only in exceptional years, this is a wine with international pedigree, combining structure, elegance and depth—and the 2017 vintage is no exception. Grapes were harvested late September to early October after a hot, dry summer followed by rain that tempered vine stress. Hand-sorted and gravity-fed into truncated cone fermentation tanks, vinification emphasised gentle extraction of ripe fruit balanced with fine tannins. Aging took place over 18 months in new French oak, with barrels kept separately before blending to allow full integration. The result is rich yet nuanced: dark fruit intensity meets lifted mint and balsamic notes, interwoven with spice and cocoa. The tannins are smooth and polished, the structure seamless. This is Solaia at its expressive best. Tasting Notes NOSE – Deep and aromatic Blackberry, black currant, fresh mint and myrtle with pepper, cinnamon and cocoa powder. PALATE – Velvet and layered Juicy dark fruit followed by toast and spice, framed by vibrant, refined tannins. FINISH – Long and elegant Sustained length with integrated oak, spice and cool mineral lift.
