3% Viognier was added to Shiraz (30% whole bunch) before pressing, the wine was then aged in new and old French oak barriques for 12 months. This wine has white pepper, mulberry, cedar and violet aromas, the palate is showing fine silky tannins , complexity and length. Try this wine with rib eye steak or slow cooked shoulder of lamb. Drinking well now or cellar for 10+ years.

Fruit for this wine was sourced from 40 -year-old vines. Deep black berries with the subtle sweetness of prunes and figs. In French oak for 18 months has ensured the wine has soft silky tannins. Opulent fruit presence and plushness drive into a lovely long finish.

"Scuro" is a blend of Sangiovese and Shiraz from our Dark Horse Vineyard, co-harvested and co-fermented. Scuro (meaning "Dark") is named for both its Italian roots and for the impressive dark colour that took us by surprise during fermentation. Extended maturation in French Oak Hogsheads has resulted in a powerful and generous wine with a deep ruby hue, rich palate and great cellaring potential. A blend of 60% Grenache, 23% Shiraz and 17% Nero, producing a fresh, vibrant and silken red wine. Only old oak is used, allowing the fruit to shine.Medium garnet. Hi-octane iodine, prune, leather, earth and bacon bone. Rich, spicy harmony throughout with a brooding mix of juicy raspberry and plum, fine tannins and spicy acidity. Shows lovely textural elements on the long, well balanced finish.

This wine, a Piebald, meaning black and white, is a co-fermentation of the blackest Syrah grapes, with a hatful of the purest white Viognier. Deep in colour, the wine is almost black, yet is also vibrant and bright. The nose is perfumed with apricots, spice and liquorice; a pretty, fragrant wine with a sweet juice and velvety palate. The finish is elegant with savoury spice and a fine tannin length and persistence.

The 2017 Moonambel Shiraz is eminently balanced and refined on the nose, with blood, minerals and flowers in equal measure. This is super composed, balanced and, as far as wine drinking pleasure goes, a triumph.
