John Riddoch's first vintage of Coonawarra Claret (1890) was a shiraz-dominant wine. As the region's first wine grower he envisaged that Coonawarra would become one of Australia's finest wine regions. The 2021 Riddoch The Winegrower Shiraz has frangrant blackberry anise aromas, supple tannins and complex graphite tones define the stylish Coonawarra Shiraz. Matured in new and seasoned French and American oak barrels. Drink now or will reward careful cellaring for up to 10 years.

Stockyard takes its name from the 100+ year old stone ruin on our Farms vineyard. Originally a slaughterhouse, today it occupies a much more serene position overlooking rows of low-yielding Shiraz vines. Seductive aromas of blackberry, plum and liquorice with savoury white spice on the nose, the palate is rich and concentrated with dark fruit flavours. The spice carries through to the palate, backed by intensely powerful tannins and integrated oak characters from eighteen months maturation in new and one-year-old French and American hogsheads. Dandelion Vineyards Lionheart Of The Barossa Shiraz
From vines over or approaching 100 years old, this was open - fermented with wild yeast, then spent 18 months in some new, mainly old, French oak barriques. Concentration shows in the colour and aroma of this shiraz, as well as the powerful, full-bodied palate, which shows guts and grip, if not great elegance. Dense chocolate and blackberry aromas are a feauture of this beautiful wine.
