Just over 20 years ago, Claymore Wines was humbly established with small volumes of Grenache and Riesling from a single vineyard in Penwortham. Since then, the estate has grown to include additional varietals and 44 hectares across three additional vineyards in Watervale.

A beautifully made Tasmanian Sauvignon Blanc at a great price! Devil's Corner has clean, fresh grassy notes with terrific concentration of passionfruit and citrus on the palate. Crisp finishing with great balance of acidity, leaving the flavours linger in the mouth.

Forester Estate Sauvignon Blanc has clean aromas with underlying richness and varietal fruit characters of lychee and passionfruit. There's a subtle hint of blackcurrant along with lime and well integrated cedar oak. There is a herbaceous thread through the wine of pea shell and nettle along with underlying wood smoke. On the palate, full and textured with a rich creamy texture. There is lychee, lemon thyme, nettle, roasted red capsicum and passionfruit along with balanced cedar oak and wood smoke.

Grape variety - 100% Chardonnay Oak maturation - 41%, in 1 and 2 year old barrels, for 7 months. Colour - Pale straw. Aroma -A ripe and complex wine with smoky-lanolin and creamy lees. There`s subtletasty oak with underlying characters of peach, lime and fennel. Palate -Rich and soft with a creamy texture. Peak drinking - Drink now. Viticulture -Fruit is sourced from neighboring properties in the northern Yallingup sub-region of Margaret River. Direct input from Forester’s viticulturist ensureswell balanced canopies and crops are grown for the ripe style desired. The 2022 vintage was a mild year for white grapes in Margaret River,allowing plenty of time during February and March to ripen the fruit to ourspecification. Winemaking -Modern white wine making techniques are employed in the productionof the Lifestyle Chardonnay, with temperature control considered criticalfrom the moment the fruit reaches the winery. The fruit is de stemmed and crushed, then must chilled and pressed off skins in a very short space of time.The lightly clarified juice is then racked to barrels and stainless steel tanks forfermentation with a mix of wild and added yeast. Both tanks and barrels are stirred on yeast lees during their maturation period. Storage & Bottling -Bottled under screwcap into a burgundy bottle.
