Over a century ago, in 1902, winegrowers in the village of Eguisheim decided to join forces to create one of the worlds first cooperatives in Alsace. United as one, pioneers in their field, they are continually innovating in order to preserve the quality of their wines. Today, Wolfberger is a major player in the Alsace wine landscape, in France and around the world. This golden pale Gewurztraminer shows a very expressive note with subtle notes of sweet spices (cinnamon, cardamon) and exotic fruits (mango, papaya and guava). Rich and powerful on the palate, this wine presents a great complexity: supple and ample and finishes on persistent aromatic flavours of spice and mango. Perfect match to Asian cuisine, sweet and sour dishes, strong cheeses, tarts and fruit based desserts.

Wolfberger Alsace Yellow Riesling has become quite a favourite amongst our first Choice customers. Refreshing, yet racy on the mouth, this is a wine with lovely fruit flavours and a long finish. It's unlike what you've come to expect from Australian Rieslings with a touch of residual sweetness on the finish making it perfect with shellfish and sushi.

Wolfberger is our favourite producer in Alsace and this black label Pinot Gris Sec shows why. Beautifully restrained, it contains less residual sugar than most Alsatian Gris which allows the purity of fruit to shine through. The fresh pear and honeyed citrus notes are accompanied by a perfumed bouquet. A delightful match for seafood or perfect to have a glass on its own.

Distinguished by true to the varietal lemon, citrus, spice and tropical fruits, a delightful edge of minerality and crunchy fresh acidity, Tahbilk Marsanne can be enjoyed as a current vintage release or allowed to develop signature honeysuckle and marmalade characters if carefully cellared.

The Bourgogne Chardonnay is a step up from our delightful Cave de Lugny Macon Villages - it is a perfectly balanced wine, with only a portion aged in oak to give structure and aromatic complexity. The nose has subtle citrus, honey and hazelnut notes. The palate delivers a rich stonefruit complexity with an elegant, fresh finish. Located in the heart of Burgundy, the village of Lugny is surrounded by great Chardonnay vineyards. Cave de Lugny wines are some of our most popular imports at first Choice and this new addition is certain to maintain that.

This wine is bright straw in colour. Aromas of peach, papaya and apricot jump from the glass with subtle notes of oak in the wake. The palate is full bodied and fruity with great texture and a delightful creaminess as a result of four months on yeast lees. Served perfectly with creamy fish pie with a side of green beans.
