When Giuseppe and Pietro Simi immigrated to Northern California, they settled in Sonoma County because it reminded them of their native Tuscany where wine had been made for centuries. In 1876, they founded SIMI in Healdsburg, California. Today, there still making wine from diverse Sonoma County grapes in the same stone cellar built in 1890. The palate is zesty with fresh flavours of tangerine, lemon curd, stone fruit, white peach and nectarine framed by sweet toast and vanilla followed with wet-stone minerality and orange peel on the finish. An outstanding modern Australian Riesling with great cellaring potential. Careful winemaking allows the premium fruit from the pristine Eden Valley to take centre stage. The vibrant nose offers fragrant fresh lemon/lime blossom, with notes of bath salts.The refined palate is delicate and pure, showing a slaty minerality and a taut line of acidity.Ideal Drinking Window 2017 to 2032

A benchmark chardonnay from master wine-maker Rob Dolan out of the Yarra Valley. Packed full of grapefruit, white peach, cashew & nutmeg aromas brimming from the glass followed by a mineral consistency on the palate with extended length on the finish. Will easily cellar for another 5 years if you can wait that long.

The St Andrews range from Taylors fly the flag for the iconic South Australian winery. The ultra premium wines are the true expression of the winemaking talents and terroir in which the fruit in grown. The Riesling has taken a little time to develop, but is now showing brilliant lime, citrus and tropical fruit balanced with cutting acidity.

Kim Crawford Small Parcels Sauvignon Blanc is a true expression of the complexities Marlborough has to offer. Although the harvest was smaller than anticipated, the vintage is being hailed as exceptional across Marlborough. Favorable weather conditions allowed the vines to ripen perfectly, this resulted in excellent ripeness, with wines showcasing impressive flavour intensity and depth. The wine reveals intense, lifted aromatics tropical fruit that lead into a range of complex flavours, including distinct mineral and flinty notes accenting its rich hefty palate that last through a clean, crisp finish.

A slightly more serious style showing clean and focused characters of citrus, nettles, dried herbs and flint, with a touch of smoke adding complexity from partial barrel fermentation in one year old oak barriques. The palate has a fuller style that has great texture and freshness with dried herbs and citrus at the forefront. The wine finishes long and clean with lingering herbaceous characters and mineral acidity.

This Chardonnay has been made from a small single clone block grown in the Robinson Vineyard at Tuerong. A beautiful chardonnay with great aromatics of citrus, white flower and sulphides. An interesting contrast to our Paringa Estate chardonnays from Red Hill vineyards. We have called this wine the Robinson Vineyard to officially recognize where the fruit has come from and to pay my respects to Hugh's efforts for growing such great quality fruit. 2021 is the first release of this wine.

DEEP WOODS ESTATE Single Vineyard Chardonnay, Margaret River

Each vintage we select small batches of exceptional grapes which we craft into our Small Parcels range. This Chardonnay reflects the elegant landscape surrounding our Hawke’s Bay vineyards as well as the complexity of the wild fermentation method. Stone fruit and citrus aromas are enhanced by baking spice and brioche from regular battonage in fine French oak barriques. Concentrated, taut and mineral with a silken texture. Honeysuckle blossoms and vanilla with toasted hazelnuts and a hint of butter. This wine has well balanced acidity which leaves the palate refreshed.
