Located in the southwestern part of Hungary, the Pannon AOP is a large, undulating region covering approximately 8000ha. The variety of slopes and different exposures makes it suited to the growing of a large variety of red winegrapes, including Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as indigenous Hungarian varieties. Vibrant dark crimson in colour, with abundant notes of ripe raspberries, red cherries and gentle spice. There is a pleasing amount of velvety tannins on the palate, providing a soft yet juicy chewiness, finishing with lifted, confectionery notes of cherry bubblegum. A vibrant, fruit-filled and uncomplicated Pinot Noir.

This Riverland wine has a brilliant medium ruby hue. The bouquet displays fragrant aromatics of ripe raspberries with a hint of confectionary. The palate is juicy and sweet fruited, full of ripe berry fruits with soft tannins and good length. Sidewood Sparkling Pinot Noir is sourced from a single vineyard in the cool climate region of the Adelaide Hills. Grapes were selected from low yielding vines and chilled in our cold rooms within an hour of picking, before being gently pressed. Free run juice was then fermented with partial malolactic and extended time on lees prior to secondary fermentation and bottling at our winery at Nairne. This 100% Pinot Noir wine has tantalising aromas of fresh strawberry, wild raspberries and dried fig. The palate is round and beautifully balanced. Intense flavours of cherry, white peach and strawberries are matched with a crisp minerality and a touch of brioche. The natural acidity provides excellent structure and finesse with a luscious, generous mouth feel.
