The Brewery: Untouched 1960’s facade of the Public Bar and Brewery building has long been an icon on the streetscape of industrial Marrickville. Behind the exterior, the old yoghurt factory stood empty for over 20 years before Philter moved in. We’re proud to bring the building back to life and become part of the historical fabric of the suburb we know and love.

Carlton Dry's extended brewing process removes excess sugars creating a smooth, crisp finish with lower carbohydrates than a full strength beer. A clean, crisp and incredibly refreshing lager that is perfect drinking in the summer sunshine or equally good at home.

Australian made and owned. Coopers Sparkling Ale is brewed and fermented using a unique method of top fermentation and natural bottle conditioning. Coopers are famous for this process which leaves a natural residue of yeast during maturation and gives a cloudy appearance with an enhanced flavour. No additives, no preservatives.

Coopers XPA is all about extra hop flavour whilst being well balanced and easy to drink. With its famous Coopers Ale yeast and smooth malt character, Coopers XPA exhibits citrus undertones with aromas of grapefruit and a hint of mandarin. We dry hop with a generous amount of Simcoe and Lemon drop hops then use higher percentage of Simcoe hops in the whirlpool to achieve the optimal bitterness and aroma levels.
