2015 ’Pantelis’ Cabernet Sauvignon The Pantelis Cabernet Sauvignon is our signature wine and bears the name of the family patriarch. Pantelis Zachopoulos (1927-1998) immigrated to Australia from Greece in 1966 with his wife Olga and four children. His diverse agricultural knowledge was passed onto his children Michael, Nicholas and myself [Zissis]. In 1998 a few months before his passing we purchased and began establishing our vineyard in the Barossa Ranges. I decided to make this wine in his honor as a token of our appreciation for everything he has taught us. The wine has dark rich fruits, plum and blackcurrant with a touch of typical Cabernet herbaceousness on the nose. The palate is long and full with lovely dark chocolate, Mocca and cassis favours.

2018 Wynns Coonawarra Estate Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon, Nose of Dark cherry and lavender imbued with underlying dried mint. Rich varietal aromas of raspberry, liquorice and plum are combined with spicy fruit flavours in this beautiful Katnook Estate wine. The subtle vanillin oak and the distinctive underlying pepper that could only come from a Coonawarra Shiraz.

This vibrant NZ Pinot shows earthy forest floor notes and dark cherries on the nose. Richly textured on the palate the flavours have elements of wild berries mushroom and chocolate framed by quality French oak.

This fine mature tawny is made from the Barossa’s traditional tawny varieties, Grenache, Mataro and Shiraz, and has been blended to an average age of a 10-year-old wine. The winemaking: this tawny wine is assessed and re-blended into a solera-based system, enabling us to consistently release wines of such high quality. Only a strictly limited quantity of 10-year-old tawny is drawn from the solera for bottling each year, and the barrels are topped up with selected younger wine. The wine: this wine is blend of the Barossa's traditional varieties, exhibiting a sweet and mellow palate with developed fruit and oak tannin characters.

Artemis Close Vine is bright strawberry red in colour, showing an intense and complex nose of ripe blueberry, raspberry, cherry, toffee apple, forest floor, cut straw, savoury and vanilla notes. The rich yet elegant wine has a cherry and raspberry palate, grainy tannin, fresh medium acidity with superb premium oak integration. The palate shows some dark berry nuances and secondary savoury characters. The finish of this Pinot Noir is elegant and long.

A 40/40/20% blend, the grenache hand-picked from 80yo vines. From this point on the only thing in common is the used French oak in various sizes and for various periods of time. It's sophisticated, and achieves elegance, balance and freshness. Rating: 95/100.
