Moonlighters captures the very essence of the RedHeads concept. Right at the beginning, when RedHeads started in the McLaren Vale, a handful of dedicated, rule-breaking, young winemakers, with a day job at the big corporations, would arrive at RedHeads studio early evening, down a cold beer, then start on crafting a ‘real’ wine, with all the unbridled passion you’d expect from the newly qualified winemaking elite. The RedHeads Moonlighters White is a beautiful blend of rich Chardonnay and aromatic Viognier, with a full nose featuring struck match characters and summer stone fruit. The textured palate hints at apricot nectar, spice and subtle nutty notes, balanced by a mouthwatering acidity.

Kings' Creed live by their creed to craft small batch wines of quality with bold character. The Adelaide Hills is located in the Mount Lofty Ranges, east of Adelaide. Its diversity in terms of altitude, climate and soil helps it produce its distinctive cool climate wines. Here, Ben Riggs sources the finest Pinot Grigio fruit to make a wine loaded with crisp, juicy just ripe pear with a touch of citrus. As winemaker Ben Riggs says, "2021 vintage was one of the greats. Excellent winter/spring rainfall, sunny warm spring followed by one of the mildest summers on record with only one day over 36 and beautiful mild evenings. Whites are incredibly fragrant, aromatic with delicious fresh acidity and lovely fleshy fruit palates."

Brothers David and Matthew Lloyd’s grandfather started planting vines and making wine in McLaren Vale in the 1960’s. David and Matthew continue the family tradition today, with individual vineyards in the Adelaide Hills and McLaren Vale. Their McLaren Vale estate is also home to an impressive olive grove, planted by an English pioneer in the 1800s, then grafted over to Kalamata olives in the 1960s. Yes, this is delicious with stuffed olives! “Fresh, juicy and ripe. All attractive qualities in an era of early picking on acidity. Sunday Bay is a phenomenon. Kiwi Sauvignon is by far our most popular style, and our range is full of standout examples. So it’s a huge statement that Sunday Bay, year after year, is the one our customers rate highest and re-order most. It's made by an award-winning family winery, who were some of the first pioneers of the Marlborough region. Phil and Chris Rose founded the estate back in 1978, now their five children have joined them, so it's very much a family affair. Their Sunday Bay is a classic Sauvignon. Exuberant grapefruit and grassy nettle character with a bright citrus zip; all the usual Marlborough pizzazz and more. It’s very moreish solo or makes the perfect partner to all sorts of seafood, spicy stir-fry or Thai fish cakes.

Many of you will remember Sam Trimboli from his days at Warburn Estate where, every vintage, he’d pick up literally hundreds of awards. He’s still on a winning streak, but now he’s renting space all for himself at a winery in Riverina, New South Wales. Sam makes there the mighty Black Duck, and his white version – the equally fruity and irresistible White Duck. Sam has been in the region for many years, so knows exactly where the best grapes are growing. In 2021, he selected when he wanted them picked too, cool fermenting and adding a touch of citrusy Pinot Grigio to the blend. This is the sort of wine you should never be short of, ready chilled in the fridge. Exuberant with bright melon fruit – serve solo or with a spicy noodle dish.

Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is a phenomenon – a white wine loved by our thirsty customers. And for good reason. This northern-tip region on New Zealand's South Island delivers wines bounding with fabulous ripe tropical fruit and zingy citrus freshness. Not all, however, get it as right as Hole in the Clouds. The grapes that go into this wine have been lavished with the greatest TLC, to ensure ultra healthy, perfectly ripe berries, every one. What's in the bottle will prove that. Chill it down, unscrew the cap and unleash the flavours. You'll smell that fruit before the glass nears your nose. Hole in the Clouds is a blast as a glass on its own, and equally delicious with salmon with saucy salsa, barbecued prawns, chicken or Thai green curry.

Enticing florals lead you in, with green apples and citrus taking hold. Pleasantly rich pear and peach meld wth grapefruit for a zippy and crisp race across the palate. This fresh expression of Pinot Grigio comes from Angove Family Winemakers, one of Australia's oldest and most-respected wineries. And when you live in a place like sunny South Australia, you sure know to make a cool, refreshing white.

Andrew Margan planted the first Albariño in the Hunter in 2014 and such has been its success, he’s planting more. The Spanish varietal’s ability to retain high levels of natural acid while ripening shines through. Peach, grapefruit and white flowers on the nose; clean minerally palate. Will age for 10 years. Freshly caught snapper, lime and salty chips come to mind.

With 130 years of expertise under the family's belt Angove have plenty of experience to call upon. During that time they have been awarded 'Winery of the Year' and many medals besides for individual wines. Fourth generation John Angove now heads up the cellar that Dr William Angove started in 1886 near Adelaide (by making award winning brandy – a product they're still famous for) and, besides championing unusual grapes, John also pioneers modern styles of wine.
