Marc-André Roy and Jared Etzel established Domaine Roy and fils in 2012 to celebrate their heritage and continue the winemaking history of their fathers, Robert Roy and Michael Etzel, who founded the renowned Beaux Frères Winery in 1991. With a minimalist winemaking approach and a commitment to organic farming, these are wines of purity and transparency expressing the land from which the wines are farmed. Sourced from the Iron Filbert and Quartz Acorn vineyards, the Chardonnay grapes are hand-harvested and whole-cluster pressed to preserve the full richness of the aromas, with fermentation and aging in French oak (5% new) for 10 months. The resulting wine shows complex, flinty, struck-match barrel ferment characters, with a complex creamy nose and white stone fruits, and a tightly wound palate, displaying delicate textural elements, subtle vanilla, green apple acidity. A compelling balance of richness with tension and freshness.

De Bortoli Colombard Chardonnay blend has beautifully match the high acidity, fuller bodied Colomblard with the aromatic Chardonnay we all knew so well. Packed with zesty citrus, tropical fruits on the nose. A refreshingly dry whte great with richer seafood dishes.

Evans & Tate Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, clear pale lemon-green in colour with aroma of fresh cut grass, passion fruit with a hint of elderflower on the nose. Dry medium body and intensity of crisp green apple and ripe stone fruits with hints of green pepper on the palate. Great acidity structure with a medium to long finish. True to the classic.

The Tate family are one of the most famous wine names in Western Australia, especially in Margaret River. It was the Tate family who began Evans & Tate decades ago and today the Tate name is re-born under the Franklin Tate Estates label. Houghton Wines has been championing the rivers of Western Australia to produce premium wines since 1836. The Houghton Maragaret River Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is bright straw appearance with tropical aromatics of passionfruit, gooseberry and guava. The palate is fresh with vibrant lemon and lime citrus notes. Light lees adds weight and texture to the palate. Well worth seeking out.

After aging, the wine shows a pale straw colour with gentle golden hues. Aromas of dried herbs, white flowers and preserved citrus lead to a textured palate of grapefruit pith, lime and rosemary. The acidity has softened with age, revealing a balanced, mineral finish that is drinking beautifully now.
